October 2013
Our last day at Walt Disney World, we decided to try something we've never done before--we rented a bicycle built for 2.
Before our trip we spent a lot of time watching a series of videos on YouTube called See Ya Reel Soon.

Who are we kidding, we still watch them every single week! We got several bits of inspiration for this trip from those videos, like having lunch at Via Napoli, and going to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, and eating a Croque Monster at Be Our Guest. But there was one final thing we had to do before we left Port Orleans Riverside thanks to SYRS, and that was rent a Surrey Bike.

We walked over to the main building and found the bike rental area. After a bit of paper work, and a little instruction, we were off.
It looked a lot easier on YouTube.
The whole time I was on the passenger side I was trying to steer-- it's hard not too! But, the steering wheel does absolutely nothing. I wasn't the only one though, if you watch the video later, you can see Iza trying to steer as well.
Iza was riding behind me, and her feet weren't really touching the pedals. She was trying, but she was actually making it harder for me to pedal. After we switched seats, it was much easier!
So pretty!!
We were told we should have enough time to go around the resort three times. Yeah, that wasn't happening! We simply didn't have the strength to do more than one lap. It was a lot of fun though, and we all agreed we would like to try it again sometime, as long as it wasn't hot.
And we should probably try this at the beginning of the trip and not after when we're broken down from touring the parks!

And another action packed video here:
Before our ride, we didn't see anyone riding these bikes around. After our ride, they were every where!
We like to think we started a trend.
